Have you considered volunteering for the Men's Planning Team? We're looking for men of all ages with an interest in seeing the men of SEC and our community go deeper in their relationship with Christ! Men who want to know Christ deeply; reflect Christ authentically and share Christ intentionally…and help other men get there too! If you're one of these men, we need your help as we lay the groundwork for a new and exciting time in the life of our congregation! Contact Pastor Randy and tell him you want to be a part of a revitalized work among the men of SEC!

We welcome you to Men’s Ministries of Salem Evangelical Church. We believe God has given us a unique privilege as well as a diverse command to minister for Jesus Christ to the Men of our church family. God has blessed to the point that we are able to offer a variety of ministries and a well-balanced program of growth and service opportunity for each man. These ministries are designed to ‘bring lives into harmony with God.’

Whatever you need, we are anxious to serve you and we extend the warmth and friendliness of the family of God here at Salem Evangelical. We want to get acquainted and trust that you will allow us the privilege of including you in our fellowship and in our Ministry for Christ.

Men's Council Assignment Areas

The renewed Men's Council is organized around 'assignment areas' aimed at promoting discipleship in Christ and service to the church as well as the greater Salem community. The assignment areas and "point" person are listed below; each leader will invite other men to be actively involved in their "team."
 Publicity/Advertising(Jesse Mecham)
Both the production of information and promotion of men's events and programming (e.g. announcements, brochures, website info, etc. about men's events or activities).
Lobby (Chuck Gervais)
Makes sure the Men's Ministry table located in the lobby is "manned" before and after each Sunday service, on Wednesday evening; and that the latest info on men's events is available. The Men's Ministry table is a place where men are contacted, informed and encouraged to attend events. This Lobby group would coordinate with Publicity/Promotion group.
Helps (Denny Laughery and Rod Rosenkranz)
Responds to the physical needs of the congregation principally the elderly, widows, and single mothers in need of home and car repairs and moving. It represents our efforts to fulfill the Outward model.
Events (John Lilly)
Planning, organizing and producing the various men's events for SEC men (e.g. monthly breakfast, Fall BBQ, etc.) as well as those sponsored by SEC for the community (e.g. Mid Valley Men's Conference).
Prayer (Nathan Richard and Jim Booker)
Lead and promote the weekly Sunday evening prayer time for men as well as other opportunities to be developed. Currently men meet on Sunday evening for prayer.
Family and Devotional Life (Marty Bassett)
Monitors the efforts of SEC men to be growing in following Jesus by practicing the Inward and Upward model.
Men's Representative (Jesse Mecham and Ken Dunn)
These men represent the Men's Council on the church Council of Administration.
Men's Council Coordinator (John Lilly, interim)

Responsible for the development and coordination of each assignment area. Recruiting point men and other men to assist them is also a part of this role. The Council Coordinator calls and presides over meetings of the Men's Council.
