14th Annual Mid Valley Men's Conference
February 23-24, 2018
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Celebrating its 14th year, the Mid-Valley Men’s Conference is pleased to have pastor Carey Casey and evangelist Reid Saunders. Carey and Reid will bring their wisdom, enthusiasm and deep love for Jesus to this year's conference.
The Mid-Valley Men’s Conference brings men together to promote unity, fellowship and spiritual growth through inspired Bible-teaching and worship. Straight-talk from past speakers such as Bill Butterworth, Jeff Kemp, Steve Farar, Bob Reccord, Stu Webber, H.B. London, and A.C. Green challenged men to strengthen their walk with Christ and share what they learn in their home churches.
Come join other Mid-Valley men for a time of unity, worship, biblical teaching, and fellowship with the aim to become men of God and leaders in our homes, churches, and communities.
Begin planning now to bring your sons, grandsons, neighbors, and friends. Group rates are available.
Through his work as pastor, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and, most recently, the National Center for Fathering, Carey has earned a reputation as a dynamic communicator. He's known as a compassionate ambassador, particularly within the American sports community. He is also author of the book, Championship Fathering (2009).
His career has included serving as chaplain at the 1988 summer olympic games in Seoul, South Korea, chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys under Hall of Fame Coach Tom Landry, and chaplain for the Kansas City Chiefs. He continues to speak on life issues for numerous professional and college sports teams across America. In high school, Carey played in the 1971 Virginia State Championship football games - the game that was later dramatized in the award-winning movie, Remember the Titans.
Carey was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in his home town of Salem, VA, and was Alumnus of the Year at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. Other honors include being listed in Who's Who in Black America as well as being a past recipient of the Dallas NAACP Juanita Craft Award.
Carey currently serves the Lord as Shepherding Pastor at Lawndale Christian Community Church in Chicago.
On a stage or at a grocery store, Reid sees opportunities all around him to share hope with those who are hurting.
Reid was born and raised in Petaluma, California. He enjoyed a loving family and popularity in school, but felt a void in his life. At 17 years of age, Reid surrendered himself to the Lord, a decision that changed the trajectory of his life.
As a young Christ-follower, Reid recorded many of Billy Graham’s messages, marveling at the power of God’s Word to touch hearts and change lives.
He attended Western Baptist College (now Corban University) in Salem, Oregon and Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland, Oregon, where Reid received his Master of Divinity. He also gained valuable training and experience as an intern at Luis Palau Association.
In 2002, Reid founded Reid Saunders Association, which has proclaimed the Gospel in word and in deed to more than 67 million people across the globe. He has ministered in 75 nations and across the USA at festivals, conferences, and outreach events. He is the author of Life to the Fullest, All for Jesus! Making Your Life Count for Christ, and Active8.
Reid, his wife, Carmen, and their three children live in Salem, Oregon.
