whats going on.....
A lot is going on here and we just thought we would share some of it with you all. It’s been busy here for the last two months and I wanted to share about the wonderful things that have been keeping us busy.
Last week we had a man come and help us with digging the Well in Tenga. He had the equipment and he was the only one willing to try it. It was successful in the fact that we hit water, but the water isn’t drinkable YET. We are praying that when we get the pump in that the well will develop into good drinkable water. The community walks now about 12 kilometers for drinkable water and 6 kilometers for cooking water. We want this well to help aid in future community development. Please pray with us!
On Saturday (Aug. 27) we had our first Leadership training with people from all of our churches. We are training them to be leaders in the existing ECC churches, established churches and in hopes that the Lord will call some to start new church plants. There were 47 people participating in it. Praise the Lord! We will be doing this at the end of every month with practical work to be done by the person through out the month.
This week we are going to get the training center in Intaca finished. We are excited for what this means to the community out there. The training center will be used for instruction in sewing. We had a Jesus Film out there 3 different days within a week. A lot of people came forward after the film to pray the sinners prayer, about 150 in total.
Kris and I are going to start conversational Portuguese lessons today with a man from the Maputo City Church. Nate may join us but his language understanding is better then ours so we don’t want him to hinder our learning. Please pray that this works and that we enjoy it.
