EASTER PROGRAM, TRIATHLON, SWIM MEET & GOOD FRIDAY

EASTER PROGRAM
We have been busy this last week enjoying some of the activities that the girl’s school has been involved in. So last Friday we enjoyed watching the girls in their Easter Program at school. Emily was a narrator in the K-1st grade play and practiced a lot so she could make sure and smile and speak loud. She did great. Chelsea's class recited a poem and sang two beautiful songs, including The Wonderful Cross.

TRIATHLON
Last Saturday Chelsea participated in a Triathlon, in which she did the running portion and her teammate did the swim and bike portion. They came in 4th and had a great time. She was extremely tired at the end and literally dropped to the ground after passing the finish line. But we did get her up and walking. It was neat to see the different kids from the school that were involved. They all did great and had fun.

SWIM MEET
On Wednesday of this week CAM school had a Swim Meet. It was so fun to watch all the kids swimming and trying to make the biggest splash. Chelsea is a strong swimmer and won 1st 3 times. Emily won for holding her breath the longest. It was fun to see all that they had learned in the last few months. Chelsea came in last for diving but stayed at the pool after the meet and she has finally got it down. She was so excited when she came home to tell us that she could dive now. Emily usually ends up on her stomach when she dives but she gives it her all.

GOOD FRIDAY (SEXTA-FEIRA SANTOS)
Last night at T3 Nate went out to show the Jesus Film and there was about 1500 people show up to watch and afterwards 100 people showed up to find out more about what they had seen. He said it was amazing. T3 church was the first OMS church in Mozambique. They are getting ready to build a building; right now it is just grass reed. Khongolate church had an all night service from 5pm until 4am. There were about 250 people present. Most of the churches had a special service for Good Friday. All had good turnouts.

PLEASE BE PRAYING.....The group will be leaving on April 12 for Gurue and will come back on the April 27. They will be going up for many reasons and mostly to support Dinis and comfort him in this hard time. They will try to teach the people up there how to do some things different so that Cholera wont be a problem over and over. They also will be doing evangelism, showing the Jesus film and helping disciple the people that will be working in the churches. Please pray for their safety and that the Lord will work through their time spent there. Pray also for Dinis family. Please pray also for the girls and I as we are home without him.

TENGA, SAO DAMASO AND ZIMPETO

We have had some wonderful people here from the States on an Intercessory Prayer Team. They came to pray for us missionaries and for the different ministry’s here. So yesterday we took them out to Tenga after the prayer meeting in Khongolote with the ECC group. It was a slightly cold day with some rain and it felt so good. We went to see if the government official from Tenga had our paper work for land that we had looked at to build a church on. The man was not there so we went to the place where we may get land and we all walked around the property as the team prayed for the land. It was so good for us to be able to take them to a place where we are praying for Gods provisions. They will be taking home photos to others so they can pray and see also. The ride from Khonogolote was a very fun amusing ride with a ton of bumps and flying in the air. I enjoyed it but some of the others hit their heads one too many times. Everyone had good humor about the whole thing. It is just how roads are here. So if you are planning on coming here make sure and bring your headgear! :)

Here are some photos from the day.......IMG_0244.JPG

Next Saturday March 19th we will have an outreach in Sao Damaso. We have an established ECC church there already but want to get more people in the city to come to Christ. We will be showing a film and doing some music and of course have an invitation at the end. We have showed the Jesus Film there already so we are looking for a new one to show, not sure which one as of yet. Please be praying for our time there and the ECC workers as they work hard evangelizing.

Two weeks ago we had an outreach in Zimpeto and we showed the Jesus Film and many people accepted Christ. Please be praying for their young faith and pray for their continued discipleship.

The Lord is blessing us daily through your faithful prayers! We love you all so much and pray you too are blessed. Thank you for showing us such unconditional love. We look forward to being together again.

I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES AND IN THE END HE WILL STAND UPON THE EARTH. AND AFTER MY SKIN HAS BEEN DESTROYED, YET IN MY FLESH I WILL SEE GOD; I MYSELF WILL SEE HIM WITH MY OWN EYES - I, NOT ANOTHER. HOW MY HEART YEARNS WITHIN ME. JOB 19:25-27
