ECC - God is Good

Greetings Brothers,

We have been greatly blessed in Mozambique this passed year. The ministry is going well and with God we plan to do great things this year. We will need your continued support as we move forward. I will be leaving tomorrow with four of our ECC (Every Community for Christ) team members Raul, Juka, Paito, and Ricardo. We will be traveling in Zambezia province once more. The ministry in this province has been growing and we wish to establish a formal training center in Gurue. We have been training church leaders here for about 1 1/2 years already, but we would like to expand this training. We are also planning to establish a training center in Inhambane province this year. These centers will be the same in vision, purpose, and ministry.

These training centers will provide training to our own church leaders as well as train leaders from other churches. The training will give them a good theological and practical understanding of church planting and growth. We also wish to focus on a holistic training and will be training in the areas of economic development (CMED-Christian micro-economic development), child survival, Aids, other health issues, agricultural and other areas that will help the churches reach their communities for Christ. I could write on and on about what God has been doing in our ministry here in Mozambique.

ECC will also, Lord willing, be implementing Extreme Walk teams to Mozambique. These teams are primarily made up of young college students that want to receive a taste of missions work. They will sign-up for 1-year terms, and spend three months in language school, then head to the bush. They will live and minister with local church leaders in new village church starts. We are in the beginning stages of this ministry, so please pray for the people and us as we move forward.
