Time Flies
So much has happened these last four weeks. We moved, had Christmas, New years and went on Holiday.
On Christmas Eve we enjoyed a church service at Xipaminine church and then went home and had some nice family time opening presents from family and friends in the states.
Our Christmas was spent with the OMS family here in Mozambique. We were invited over to a missionary couples for a wonderful breakfast and then we decided to go relax by the pool for a couple hours until it was time to get together with all our OMS family for Dinner at 2 pm. In all my 32 years I never would have thought I would ever be at a pool on Christmas day. For dinner we had salads, cold turkey, cold ham and wonderful desserts. We decided to have all cold because it is so hot here at this time of year. We played some games and just enjoyed talking and listening to Christmas music. On the 26th we left for our 2 week Holiday. We drove to Johannesburg and the next day went to Gold Reef City. It is a theme park with rides. We got Emily to go on an upside down roller coaster, even though she wont admit it, she had fun. We had fun but it was very busy so we stood in a lot of lines. The next day we drove towards the Cape. We stayed down in Cape Town for a week. We saw so many beautiful things and did so many things we would never had the chance to do any where else. It was a full week but one we will never forget. The morning we planned on leaving we woke up to find that the mini bus we borrowed from the OMS school was stolen. After many trips to the police station and many phone calls we decided we would rent a van to get us back home. The place we were staying was so gracious in letting us stay one more night for free. We made it home and have met with the insurance company and they are working on getting everything figured out. Please pray that the insurance will replace the mini bus or give them money for a new one soon. This last week we have been trying to get back into all the meetings and our responsibilities. It has been going well. We have two Irish men here visiting. They will be preaching and teaching and we will have the privilage of working with them. They are in bible school and will be here for a month. Please pray for them as they are here, that they will enjoy their time and see the good things that are happening here in Mozambique.
Thank you all for your prayers, Love and support. We appreciate all of you and enjoy hearing from you when you have time to email.
We love you, Deanna for the whole Glancy family
