Sunday's Service 08-08-04

Greetings Family,

Today we attended a Shangaan church service. The Mozambique people love to sing, so the first hour + of the service was dedicated to it (Karen you would love it). The altars were full and Christ was getting hold of many hearts. At this church they also had open congregational prayer time, and at the end with the alter call there would be crying out in prayer then the congregation would pray aloud for them. It was very moving to see. We had a time of greeting the church. It is “The African Way” to welcome you to their church. You have a couple minutes to address the congregation with the help of an interpreter at this point. The services last about 2.25 hours and they had cookies and coke after the service for us. The pastor of this church has been there for over fifteen years through some of the hard times of Mozambique’s history. Thank you all for the emails and we look forward to each one.

In Christ,
Nathan
