SUNDAY AUGUST 29 CHURCH SERVICES
Yesterday morning we went out to SAO DEMASSO for the church service. This is a fairly new church. It was a good service with 30-40 people and Raul one of the ECC team leaders preached. An average service here in Maputo is anywhere between 2-3 hours long. Mostly closer to 3. So Pastor Randy go for it! :)
They love to sing as I am sure we have mentioned and after only 4 weeks we are enjoying that enthusiasim. I do have to say Nate is getting the motions down and dancing right along with them. It makes them laugh, so it is good. It makes me laugh too. His relationships with the poeple we are working with is growing and it is neat to see. I am looking forward to this week to participate with him in his meetings as I now can.
The girls did great yesterday. They enjoy looking at the cute babies and kids that are always running around. I am amazed somtimes how mature they act. They try to sing and Emily loves to clap so she gets right in. Sometimes Chelsea, along with me and Nate, get lost when singing and have to ask where we are at.
Last night there was a special service at the Maputo City Church for Madalena, the new Director of the Maputo Biblical & Theological Seminary and for Nathan and the family as new ECC Director. It was a time to bring all the seminary students, all the ECC workers and the Pastors/Leaders from all the OMS planted churches. It was neat to see them all together and it was good to meet some of those people that I had not met yet. Nate has met most and so he introduced me to many. They prayed for us and Harold Brown spoke with an interpretur. It seemed to go very well. I can see the Lord working already and I dread for the day we will have to say goodbye just as I dreaded saying goodby to you all. I know the Lord has called us here and its so apparent in the way He has worked in our lives and the girls lives to make us feel so at home here.
Thakn you for your prayers and continued support. We love you all!
