Our First Mozambique Wedding

This wedding is a very significant event in the life of the country. It is the custom here to buy gifts for your wife’s side of the family in order to be legally married. So the cost of being married in Mozambique makes it impossible for most to be legally married. This is the third wedding out of the group of men in our OMS seminary. The weddings go on for days, with lots of singing and dancing. The actual ceremony was about two and a half hours long, but it was great. There are a lot of praise and worship songs, and the families also had a time to sing to the new couple. The ceremony was held at the T-3 church.
