Children's Center Update - October 2009

Building Update

 Wow!  What an exciting time in the building process!  As the New Children’s Center progresses toward completion, we can more fully envision what an AMAZING facility this will be for our entire Salem Evangelical Church family.

 Throughout the inside of the building, several different trades are active, applying finishing materials and products.  Within the three levels, painting, cabinet installation, finish carpentry, flooring, lighting, and a number of other tasks are in process.  The elevator system is now finished and the temporary classroom between the existing and new building has been approved for occupancy by the City of Salem.  Exterior site work is also continuing and will kick into high gear over the next several weeks.  Placement of sidewalks, landscaping and the playground concrete and equipment will soon begin!

 As you can imagine, there are countless details that go into the finishing stages of construction.  What an enormous blessing to have a quality team of tradesmen working together so effectively.  The excellence and professionalism of this team has been invaluable in keeping the project on schedule and within budget… to the praise of God’s glorious grace!

 Watching all the various components come together produces a great sense of gratification and an exciting anticipation for the final product.  Please continue to take advantage of the opportunity to observe the site safely from outside the fenced area.  Heartfelt thanks to all who continue to prayerfully support this effort!  Please continue to pray for God’s protection over the safety and efficiency of everyone involved.  It won’t be long before the New Children’s Center is finished!
