Television Broadcast

Our Sunday Morning Service is now on Television.  It is being broadcast by Northwest Christian Broadcasting as follows:

UHF Channel 21 in Salem
Analog
Every Sunday
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

UHF Channel 26 in Portland
Digital
Every Sunday
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This is over the air television, not cable or satellite, so it requires an antenna to receive the signal.  The program is being aired one week after the day of the service.  Northwest Christian Broadcasting Program Guides are available in the wall rack just inside the church lobby.  You can access additional information on the NCB website:   www.ncbtv.org

Channel 21 in Salem:
Channel 21 is still broadcasting in analog.  They plan to transition to digital sometime in the near future.  Their transmitter is located in the West Salem hills.  Salem viewers will need to point their UHF antenna toward the West Salem hills for best reception.  A rooftop UHF antenna would work best, but a set top antenna may be OK depending on your location and distance from the transmitter.  If you also have cable or satellite, you can use an A/B switch with older TV's or just feed the cable or satellite signal to a separate input on the newer TV's.  The channel 21 feed from the antenna will have to go to a UHF analog tuner input and be tuned to channel 21.

Channel 26 in Portland:
Channel 26 has already transitioned to digital.  Their transmitter is located on Mt Scott east of I-205.  Portland area viewers will need to point their UHF antenna toward Mt Scott for best reception.  A rooftop UHF antenna would work best, but a set top antenna may be OK depending on your location and distance from the transmitter.  If you have cable or satellite, you can use an A/B switch with older TV's or just feed the cable or satellite signal to a separate input on the newer TV's.  The channel 26 feed from the antenna will have to go to a UHF digital tuner input and be tuned to channel 26.  An older TV that doesn't have a digital tuner would need to have a set top box to convert the digital signal to analog for the TV.
