  Building Update

The majority of the footings for the structure have been poured and the first floor slab will be poured as soon as the weather cooperates.

Drilling the elevator jack shafts proved to be quite an event as the crews drilled to a depth of forty feet with a large commercial grade auger.  The performance and professionalism from the contractor was remarkable as they were able to move in equipment, drill, and move out in less than one week.

Over the next few weeks the general structure and shape of the building will start to blossom as more concrete is poured and sections of steel are assembled.  In the very near future our steel contractor will start moving in equipment along with some of the steel that was manufactured off site.  They will also be fabricating some of the steel on site.  For those of you that have not had the opportunity to watch a large building being built, this process will provide fascinating insight.  All are encouraged to observe the construction site through the windows of the viewing area located on the second level of the main church building.

The commitment remains to deliver a beautiful and functional building while still preserving the budget.  The Pro-Construct, Inc team, along with the architect and subcontractors, continue to explore every aspect of the process in search of cost saving construction procedures.  Areas where savings will be realized well into the future are being evaluated very seriously.
