Bolivia: Norte de Potosi roof project

Salem Evangelical Church is involved with a roofing project in the North Potosi area of Bolivia. Duane Erickson, Executive Director of Evangelical Church Missions, sends this report:

"I'm sending you some pictures from the North Potosi area of Bolivia where we are trying to get some basic churches built in a very remote and rugged area. This is poor area where the people deal with very little cash and much of life is conducted with a barter system. Our Bolivian church has been doing evangelism and training in this area for 15-20 years and now has about 25 congregations. Until recently only 2 of the congregations actually had their own building. We have helped put up or are presently putting up another 10 churches and have financing for a few more. Salem Evangelical Church has helped with this project and we thank you for that. I received these pictures which show a variety of aspects: the geographical area, churches in construction, churches constructed and some still empty lots. Some of the buildings have been erected and were still awaiting the arrival of the roofing material which must be carried in by foot in some instances. Please pass our appreciation on to the proper people."
