Would you like to make a difference in someone's life by listening? A listening ear may bring comfort 
as we face the challenges and pain of life experiences.  If this appeals to you, you may want to 
consider serving in Pastoral Care.

In Acts chapter 6, Stephen and six other saints were commissioned to care for church members. This
ministry opportunity will give you the training and opportunity to be a one-on-one caregiver at S.E.C.

You will be encouraged to complete the Spiritual Gifts and Discipleship Training classes. Pastoral Care
 leaders will assist you in selecting a specific ministry. Guidance and support will be provided as you 
learn to encourage without "counseling."

As you develop a relationship with your designated member, remember you will be totally dependant 
on Godas you walk along side. He will be working with the individual in His time. You will need to have 
faith that God can work through you and trust Him for the results.

If you have a caring personality, this could be a most rewarding experience as Christ ministers through 
you. As you serve in this ministry and walk with someone who needs support, you will grow in 
compassion and our church will grow in strength.
